The charity works on enhancing the livelihoods of disadvantage rural people. Through bamboo plantation activities the charity supports out grower smallholder farmers& forest owners by providing seeds and seedlings as well as trainings on bamboo plantation, plantation management and marketing that provides guaranteed returns to farmers. Among these Women are also involved. The charity provides clean energy cooking stoves to the community in the project areas and supports them to be benefited from agroforestry fruit production to generate incomes. The charity engages also in humanitarian activities during manmade and natural disastrous, conflicts, and challenges happened in project area communities.
ANRDEPC will work on poverty reduction based local community livelihood activities, based on the Government of Ethiopia (GEO) policy and program our main livelihood options for rural communities are:
- Beekeeping
- Fishery
- Livestock
- Dairy production
- Feed production
- Sheep and goat farming
